I loved the experience I had in Highschool to have hosted 5 students from Japam as well as having the oppurtunity to be hosted IN Japan. I would love my children to grow up knowing about other cultures other than Canaian Culture. Walking, running Camping and Board games OUr HOme is near Tillicum Mall, Perkes recentre, Silver City Movie theatre, public Library. Busing to Downtown core takes 10 minutes, Camosun College Interurban Campus takes 5 min. Uvic and Camosun college Landsdown Campus takes 30 minutes. The area for students is all Brandnew. It includes, separate Laundry facilities, separte cupboard and fridge space. A Workout area and a shared bathroom with other student.

Walking, running or hiking with our Dog, Tennis and soft ball. Quiet neighbourhood in a nice part of town. Our street is on a culdesac with nicely landscaped houses.

Our home is located close to Douglas College, Simon Fraser University, and the University of British Columbia, Canada International School, Coquitlam college, Vancouver Georgia College, Concordia International College, and more.
Bus stop is 50 yards.

Two Malls with in a 10 minute drive.
To get to Downtown Vancouver is 30 minutes away.
Skytrain is a ten min drive or 15 minute bus ride.
Canada International College is 5-7 kilometers away. The living area includes a one bedroom with a Queen bed closet/dresser side tables with a large window plus a Attached is a rec-room with a desk/chair dinner table couch and love seat two large windows looking over the front of the house and the pool deck TV/DVD along with Wifi. We would like to welcome a student into our home to meet new people and learn about another culture/country. This is a very suburban, family area. The bus stop is an approximate 1 minute walk from the house. The house backs onto a greenbelt with a paved walking trail behind the house. There are lots of trees and families. Walnut Grove Secondary School is .5km away (10-15 minute walk). Trinity Western University is approximately 10 minute drive. The very large community centre is right beside the high school, approximately .5km away and has a very large, beautiful public swimming pool, exercise room and library. Shopping is equal distance, across from the high school and community centre. The city of Vancouver is approximately 1 hour from the house, via bus, then skytrain. The bedroom is very spacious room with a desk, facing into the large backyard with a relatively large window. The carpet is less than 3 months old and it is in a quiet part of the house on the downstairs/ground level floor. It opens into a hallway and the adjoining family room is along one wall.

I ( homestay applicant) have travelled internationally where I was lucky enough to meet kind people who helped me out along the way. I really like interacting with other cultures, and I would like to help another person as they visit this great count Outdoor activities, hiking, kayaking, walks. We enjoy music and dance as well. 5 Minutes to downtown by bus, close to major bus routes, grocery stores, malls, library, and all major amenities. We are 1 block away from an inlet of the Ocean, which is bordered by a nice walkway and park. The University of Victoria is about 20 minutes by direct bus.

The area is safe, we have very friendly neighbours and we live in a secure adult-only building. The bedroom is just big enough for the listed furniture. It has a private attached bathroom, and a large window.

We do ask that the guest uses hireless headphones if watching Television, we will provide the headphones.

community watch in place The guest room is very large, has a dividing pull out wall making two rooms if she wants, the room will have a small microwave to make popcorn ect.. small fridge to caring her own extras like pop. has a working area desk and chair. The wash room is shared but each of us has our own sink area with cupboard,share the shower/bath. Very nice kept up place.
