I am interested in hosting international students because i think it would be a great experience for both myself and family as well as the students from abroad. We have lots of extra un-used space in our newly built home (2008) which makes our home All kinds of sports, espescially soccer and hockey. Have a huge passion for soccer as i play at a high level and coach at all ages from youth to adult. I also snowboard, play tennis, hockey basketball along with a number of other outdoor activities. Our neighbourhood is located in fraser heights. It is a brand new area located on the east side of fraser heights with all brand new homes built within the last 5 years. The area is a very safe community with friendly neighbours. It is a quiet peaceful area with a nice view of the BC mountains as the houses are all up on an incline.
The bus stop is a only bout a 10 minutes walk from the front of our house and the bus takes you directly to the skytrain station which can take you anywhere in the lower mainland (vancouver, New West, Burnaby, etc.) it also links to other parts of Surrey such as newton, guildford, and Surrey cenrtal. This room is a large room with a private washroom with a bathtub and shower as well a sink with double mirrors. The room also includes a walk in closet with ample space for clothes, shoes and even a bit of storage space.

We would like to host an international student as we can learn about their own culture as well as show them what it is to be Canadian and live in this beautiful province. We are a young, typical family living in the Greater Vancouver area and feel we hiking, camping, rugby, reading, running, evening walks, snowshoeing We live in a newer neighbourhood in a popular area in Cloverdale, a district of Surrey. It is a family oriented neighbourhood with a park and elementary school. The families are friendly and there is not a lot of noice. The area is very safe. We live about five minutes from a bus stop, which then takes about 15 to 20 minutes to reach the skytrain. Commute time to downtown Vancouver is about 45 minutes. We are 20 minutes from two universities. There is a shopping mall within 10 minutes of our home, and a public library is less than 10 minutes away. We have two separate bedrooms beside each other. One would be a designated bedroom, the other would be a private office/workspace. We are currently in the process of painting the second bedroom a light green.

Our neighbors right beside us are also hosting international students – it is great way to meet other people who are going through the same experience as you are! We are really close to a lot of amenities – shopping mall, parks, grocery stores (Western and Asian), community centers, restaurants, etc. The room you will be staying in has a walk-in closet and a private bathroom in the room for you to use!

It is about a 5 minute walk to Public Library and 10 minute walk to banking and shopping. From our house it would take approximately 25 minutes to downtown by bus. Major university is located downtown. This guestroom is newly renovated with fresh paint hard wood floors. Room has desk with lamp dresser two closets night stand twin bed and bedding and mirror. There is also a computer with printer in the guestroom for your use. It has internet as well as webcam. A tv is also in the room with full cable and dvd and vcr for your personal use. Having hosted students before we found learning about different cultures interesting. music, cycling, walking,singing in community choirs Small village between Abbotsford and Mission. Walking distance to the Fraser River and trails. Five minute bus ride into Mission to shopping. 20 minute busride into Abbotsford for more shopping. Half hour bus ride to Fraser Valley University. Matsqui Elementary School across the street. Have one daughter going to Mouat Secondary School so there would be a regular ride into Abbotsford evey day. Sunny bedroom with small basement window. Queen size bed, with closet and dressers. There is a guest bathroom just down the hall.

We have an extra room. We are always open to learning about new cultures. Being a teacher I am very supportive of education. going to the beach, hiking, family outings and gatherings. Movies, plays, educational outings(ROM, Art Gallery). We live on a very quiet street. We are minutes away from Pape Station and very close to the downtown area. We have many stores, libraries, parks, and restaurants just around the corner from our street. We live in a very multicultural neighbourhood. They are many high schools in the area which take no more than 20 minutes travel time. We are very close to Ryerson, George Brown, University of Toronto and a few more. Its a fair size bright bedroom with a double bed. It has a desk,night table and an armoire. It also has a fair size closet.
