Having lived in different countries when I was younger, I always felt at home wherever I was because of the warm, friendly people I met and became friends with. As an adult, I would now like to be that welcoming, friendly face to those wishing to stu Cycling, hiking, photography The area I live in is very centrally located and has 4 different TTC buses from which to choose from, two of which go to Pape Station and two of which go to Broadview Station. We are very close to The Danforth (20 min. walk) and Riverdale Park. Also, the Don Valley is a block away, which if you enjoy cycling or hiking or running, access to the trails leading downtown as well as to Sunnybrook Park, are easily accessible. My street itself is very quiet, tree-lined and has a mix of young families and professional couples. People walking their dogs in the mornings and evenings are a common sight around here as well!

Clean and tidy, the room decoration is white and purple, design for unisex use. You can use washing machine or can ask host to do your washing once a week for $10 per basket, clean linen provided on arrival and room cleaning can be requested $15 per week (including washing linen and vacuming).

I think it is important for our girls to learn about other cultures and be exposed to people from different countries. I believe it would be very beneficial and rewarding to share our wonderful country and city and culture with someone else. We are Hiking, swimming, reading, walking, camping, crafts. Quiet family orientated neighbourhood. One block to buses accessing Royal Roads University (40 mins travel by bus) UVIC (1 hr travel by bus) and Camosun College. 20 minute drive or 45 mins bus to downtown Victoria. 5 minutes drive to downtown Langford.
Close to Goldstream Provincial Park and several other park areas. This is a great location for the outdoor enthusiast. Bright large sized ground floor room with hardwood floors. View of backyard. Has very large lighted closet with shelving for clothes and storage of items. A desk with comfy computer chair and night table.
Double sized futon style bed that can be set up as a couch and chair for private entertaining.
Mostly private bathroom with stand up shower and plenty of storage for toiletries. (access to upstairs bath tub for baths if desired)
Close to laundry and family room area with large tv, video game system, and workout area.
Access to large backyard with hot tub and large above ground pool (open from May – end Sept)

Vancouver Homestay Host # 9015

We value the opportunity to assist students in achieving their goals. We will provide a home, not just a place to stay, with a family atmosphere that is comfortable for our new guest(s). Sports, watching TV and movies, reading books Within a 5 minute walk there a numerous grocery stores (Safeway), shops and restaurants. There is an Elementary School across the street, with a large park. Killarney Community Center is a 5 minute walk away, and has many facilities including a new indoor pool, new ice rink, large gymnasium and fitness center.

There are bus stops located right by our home, with buses running every 5 minutes during peak hours. Joyce Skytrain station is a 10 minute walk, which allows for easy travel to the majority of the lower mainland. For example, Downtown Vancouver is a 10-15 skytrain ride, and Metrotown is a 5 minute skytrain ride away.

UBC, SFU, and other colleges such as Langara and Kwantlen can be reached by transit within an hour.
