Our family has been hosting students for the past 10 years. We enjoy meeting new friends and experiencing new cultures. Being a Portuguese and my husband a Filipino we enjoy sharing our culture and the Canadian culture with our students. We are a you Our family enjoys spending time with friends and family. We enjoy watching movies, shopping locally and traveling to Seattle and Portland to sight see. Each week we have a dine out or take in theme that we enjoy with our family and students. We enjoy exercising, watching the local sports in town. Our home is located 10 minutes from the largest shopping mall in British Columbia. Our home is short walking distance to nearby convenience and grocery stores, restaurants and high schools. We are two blocks to a highly recommended private school that accepts international students studying high school. We are two blocks to the nearest transit line and 5 minutes to the nearest Skytrain Station. Commuting to downtown will take you approx. 25 minutes from our door. We are 25 minutes from the second largest University, Simon Fraser University.
We are central to many shopping areas, parks and restaurants. Our neighborhood is a family oriented place that is quite and pleasant to many of its residents. You are able to experience the night life of downtown within 25 minutes of our home by using the Sky Train System. Your room is located in the first floor. Your room has a double bed. There is a desk that is large enough to place your lap top and conduct school work, a 6 drawer dresser to place your cloths in, a closet to place your dresses and jackets in and a night table beside your bed. You have your own television for your privacy. Your room is equipped with both cable and wireless internet.

Expose our daughters to other cultures, while providing us with some additional income. We expect this experience to be especially beneficial for our youngest daughter who is introverted. Cycling, hiking, snowshoeing, skating Very beautiful and quiet neighbourhood. Capilano University can be accessed through a trail, which is located minutes from our house. Our house is approximately a 10-minute walk to transit (30-minute ride to downtown Vancouver) and a 5-minute bus ride to Phibbs Exchange (bus loop). Room is in basement – may share bathroom with other student in bachelor suite in the basement. Can use entrance for the bachelor suite.

Yoga, fitness, skiing, golf, walking, reading, hockey, biking Beautiful scenic with orchards and a winerys. walking distance to beach and swimimg pool facility. Located in a very nice cul de sak Good size private bedroom.

I have a spare bedroom that is unoccupied. My children have grown up and moved on so I think it would be wonderful to assist other young people with their future aspirations. New Westminster is a central and convenient location. 2 blocks to city bus. 3 1/2 blocks to Skytrain. Minutes walking to shopping malls, Douglas College, Canada Games Recreation and New Westminster Quay. Or take the Skytrain. You can be in downtown Vancouver in 40 minutes or to Surrey in 20-30 minutes. Or take the Canada Line and be at the Vancouver International Airport in under an hour. Clean, Quiet, Carpeted, recently painted room. Has a large closet with organizer shelves. Plenty of space for clothing and personal items. Blinds on windows. Cable and telephone for local calls. Will supply a TV if requested.
