I think it would be a great opprtunity for my children to meet other children from other cultures and it would be a great learning experience for our family. As for meals I cook for my children super and make lunches they manage getting thier breakfa Well I have 3 teens who are very busy and active, we have lots of hockey, football and just over all family activities. The street I live on is a cul du sac which means there is one way in and one way out so its a safe place… Lots of young families in this area. Also we have a elementary school on the street and park, we are backed on a golf course on one side and a train track on the other side, great for cross county skiing.
I have homestayed students for the past
10 years. I find it very rewarding
especially since I also have my ESL
specialist degree- so I also enjoy
teaching international students as well. We do many activites with our students;
indoor and out. We also take our students
on excursions as well. Our neighborhood is great! It offers a large park across the
street from us. It has free tennis courts, basketball courts,
bike trails- and bikes we provide, outdoor and indoor swimming
pools, the street is quiet, the neighborhood is safe.
The bus is 3 minutes from our house and the subways are close by;
our buses run 24hrs a day. We have everything a student
would want in a bedroom as well
as wireless internet, a cable for
older laptops.
Whatever our students dont have
with them we will get or provide.
We always try to make their
experience one that they will
not forget.
We have a fantastic park across
from our house. It has bike
trails(bikes provided), pool
outside, and a indoor one as well,
free tennis courts, basketball
courts, a large mall 4 mins away.
Buses and subways close by, etc.
We have a wonderful home with lots of space and comfort.
The room we are offering is upstairs. It is a good size with a good closet. The bathroom is right outside the door.
We will provide a comfortable bed, desk, lamp, bedding and internet connection.
We have two livingrooms, a recreation room and a great yard with a firepit and space.
We are close to transportation.

Hosting has allowed me to raise my two young children and take care of my elderly mother. sports,reading,movie The great thing about our neighbourhood is its proximaty to almost everything! We have two close bus routes by our house which are the 232 (which goes north to Grouse Mountain, and then south to Phibbs Exchange) and the 246(Which goes to downtown on its way north to highland, and the south to Lonsdale Quay). We live one block away from Westview Shopping Centre which includes restaurants, boutiques and a super market. We are also right in between Lonsdale and Edgmont Village. The schools closes to us are Bsalmoral Jr Highschool, Carson Graham Secondary, Handsworth Secondary and we are just around the corner from Larson Elementary. As for Community or Recreation Centres, we have Delbrook Centre which is in a one block proximaty, and William Griffen which is in a 2 block proximity.
